Minimum qualifications:
- Strong experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines (ETL/ELT).
- Solid skills with one or more data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Flink, Beam, Airflow).
- Experience working with both batch and streaming data.
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, plus familiarity with NoSQL/data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
- Knowledge of data modelling principles, schema design, and performance optimization.
- Comfortable working with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP / Azure) and their data services.
- Strong and confident communicator in English.
- Strong problem solver.
- Comfortable with collaboration and open communication across distributed teams.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines.
- Process large datasets, both in batch and real-time.
- Collaborate with product owners, data scientists, and engineering teams to ensure data needs are clearly understood and met.
- Ensure data quality and integrity: implement testing, monitoring, and alerting around data flows.
- Optimize performance: query speed, storage costs, resource usage.
- Maintain documentation of data schemas, pipelines, and architecture.
