The Core team is responsible for delivering a best-in-class wallet experience for the Avalanche Ecosystem and beyond. We are seeking a Senior React Native Engineer to join our dynamic and highly-skilled development team. In this role, you will architect and develop a scalable, reusable UI library that ensures a seamless user experience across iOS and Android. You will implement the overall layouts for our mobile applications, translating complex requirements into visually appealing, intuitive, and secure interfaces. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Craft Intuitive & Performant UIs. Develop layouts and components that enhance the user experience, ensuring our custody solution is performant and user-friendly across all devices and platforms
• Develop Cutting-Edge UI Libraries. Architect, develop, and maintain a reusable cross-platform library that powers both iOS and Android experiences using cutting-edge technologies for the Core wallet
• Create developer libraries and SDKs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend engineers, designers, and product and security experts, to deliver end-to-end solutions

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT

• Frontend Expertise: You have a substantial background as a front-end engineer.

• Hands-On Approach: You are a hands-on coder who prefers implementing proof-of-concepts before drafting lengthy technical documents.
• Initiative: You proactively seek out and initiate projects that add value, without needing someone to assign them to you.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• 5+ years of experience
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated expertise in developing scalable, reusable cross-platform libraries with React Native and React. Experience with development for iOS and Android
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend & mobile technologies, with an expert-level understanding of mobile security
• Expertise in implementing secure coding practices, utilizing platform-specific security features (iOS Keychain, Android Keystore, TPMs), and managing secure authentication and authorization flows to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., OWASP Mobile Security Top 10)
• Passion for blockchain technology/web3 and eagerness to consume the latest news and developments

Salary Range: $143,000 to $179,000

(**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. NYC metro candidates are required to be in office 2-3x/week, with exceptions.)
