The Data Analytics (DA) team in Characterization and Analytics Group develops big data analytics, machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to support R&D design and development activities within Recording Head Technology organization.
About the role - you will:
· Work closely with R&D engineering teams to build data analytics workflows and processes, develop statistics / physics / ML models that bring insights into value-added analytics.
· Develop analytics models that transform complex data sets into clear, actionable insights.
About you:
· Master degree or PhD degree graduate student in Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics or related fields.
· Passionate about data and analytics with GenAI, AI & ML capabilities.
· Ability to work independently with proven problem-solving skills and out-of-box thinking mindset.
· Good communication and teamwork skills needed in collaborative cross functional high tech R&D team environment.
Your experience includes:
· Data skills: SQL, data cleaning, statistical analysis.
· Python (pandas, numpy), ML (scikit‑learn; plus PyTorch/TensorFlow desirable), and solid statistics (ANOVA, regression, feature importance).
· Develop statistics, rule-based, ML, or DL model on time series data, image data, and parametric data.
You might also have:
· Background in manufacturing analytics (semiconductor/HDD) and familiarity with KPIV/KPOV concepts and time‑series data.
· Experience with XGBoost, clustering (k-means/DBSCAN).
· Experience with at least one LLM agent framework (e.g., LangChain/LangGraph/AutoGen or KNIME AI Extension) and prompt/chain design.
· Proficiency with Linux OS and terminal command line is a plus.
· Git version control.
· Web based dashboard and visualization.
· English skill is required
