The Gen Academy is at the forefront of Artificial Intelligence education, dedicated to bridging the talent gap in the rapidly evolving world of Generative AI. Our mission is to empower professionals with the practical skills and deep understanding needed to excel. Through hands-on workshops, immersive bootcamps, and bespoke corporate training led by industry experts, we are building the next generation of AI innovators.
Role Overview:
We’re looking for a hands-on Data Science intern who loves learning fast, building scrappy prototypes, and teaching others. You’ll help design AI coursework, explore new models/tools, ship proof-of-concepts, and support workshops and training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop AI coursework: Create concise modules, labs, and quizzes on topics like LLMs, RAG, agents, vector databases, and evaluation.
Prototype quickly: Explore new AI technologies and build end-to-end demos (notebooks, micro-apps, or APIs) that showcase practical use cases.
Support workshops & training: Assist with curriculum prep, live demos, troubleshooting, and post-session resources.
Run office hours: Host weekly help sessions; review code, unblock learners, and document FAQs.
Data & evaluation: Curate datasets, run experiments, track metrics, and write short readmes on findings.
Docs & enablement: Write clear how-tos and starter templates to help others reproduce your work.
Operational support (as needed): Manage repos, organize learning artifacts, and keep materials up to date.
What We’re Looking For:
Foundations: Python; solid grasp of ML/DS basics (data prep, training, metrics); comfort with Jupyter/Colab.
LLM tooling: Experience building with LangChain/LangGraph and direct model SDKs (OpenAI, Fireworks, Groq, etc.).
Web & APIs: Basics in FastAPI/Flask or simple React/Streamlit/Gradio for interactive demos.
People skills: Clear communicator, calm during live demos, and proactive about documentation.
Nice to have
Prior teaching/TA, hackathons, or open-source contributions.
