Job Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage financial data entry and record-keeping using Tally. The primary responsibilities include entering sales and expense data, reconciling accounts, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions. The ideal candidate should have experience working with Tally and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Entry & Record Keeping
Enter daily sales and expense transactions into Tally with accuracy.
Maintain up-to-date and well-organized financial records.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of invoices, receipts, and financial statements.
2. Accounts Reconciliation
Reconcile bank statements, customer payments, and vendor invoices.
Verify and match purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting errors in a timely manner.
3. Sales & Expense Management
Maintain records of sales transactions and ensure timely invoicing.
Track business expenses and categorize them appropriately.
Assist in preparing expense reports for management review.
4. GST, Tax, and Compliance
Assist in GST filings and ensure tax compliance.
Keep track of due dates for tax submissions and payments.
Support audit requirements by providing necessary financial data.
5. Financial Reporting & Support
Generate basic financial reports such as sales summaries and expense breakdowns.
Support senior accountants with financial data analysis.
Assist in payroll processing and vendor payments when required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
Proficiency in Tally ERP and basic accounting principles.
Experience in data entry and financial record-keeping.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, and other tax regulations.
Good attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience handling sales and expense data in Tally.
Basic knowledge of MS Excel for financial calculations and reporting.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
