Microsoft is hiring Applied Science PhD Interns in India to help turn research into real products and services. As an intern you will work with teams across the world on real projects, learning cutting-edge research areas and applying advanced concepts to practical problems. You will use data analysis, modelling and machine learning to build intelligent solutions that improve product quality and business outcomes, using state-of-the-art tools along the way. Candidates must currently be pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Electrical or Computer Engineering, Econometrics or a related field, with at least one semester or quarter of study remaining after the internship. Research experience in areas such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision or generative AI is expected. Microsoft internships combine meaningful project work with mentorship, networking and community, giving doctoral students a direct view of how research ships at scale.
