Infineon is hiring a Junior Software Developer on a temporary contract in Bengaluru to help modernise its engineering toolchain so it runs on any operating system, across Linux, Windows (WSL2) and high-performance compute environments. You will write and optimise back-end code and command-line tools in Python and C, refactor legacy scripts to remove hard-coded OS dependencies, and standardise how simulation tools exchange data using JSON, XML and YAML. You will also write validation scripts and linters for Jenkins CI/CD pipelines, improve tool usability with clear error messages and fix hints, and write unit tests and help run automated stress tests. Candidates should hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or a related field and be a recent graduate or have 1 to 2 years of experience. You need strong basics in Python and/or C, comfort with Linux and Windows command lines, familiarity with Git and CI/CD concepts, and basic knowledge of configuration files and data formats. A good way to learn cross-platform development and developer experience.
