IDFC FIRST Bank is hiring a Backend Engineer for its AI Labs team within the Data, Analytics and Gen AI function in Bengaluru (req P-224954). You will design, build and maintain efficient, reusable and reliable backend code using asynchronous languages such as Python, Node.js and Go, contribute to architecture decisions, and help turn AI and machine learning models into production products. The role involves working closely with frontend engineers, data scientists, data engineers and ML engineers, keeping applications fast and responsive, fixing bottlenecks and bugs, and optimising code and database queries. You will also do code reviews, uphold coding standards, contribute to end-to-end features including some React front-end work, and mentor junior developers. Candidates need a BCA, B.Tech or B.Sc and at least 2 years of backend development experience, strong knowledge of scalable system design, familiarity with full-stack development and modern front-end tools, and good problem-solving, debugging and communication skills.
