Google is hiring an early-career Software Engineer for its Search organisation in Bengaluru. Google's engineers build technology used by billions of people, working at massive scale across areas such as information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, storage, security, AI and natural language processing. In this role you will write product and system code for a project critical to Search, review other developers' code and give feedback on style, accuracy, testability and efficiency, and contribute to documentation and learning content. You will also triage product and system issues, debugging and tracking them to resolution by analysing their causes and their impact on hardware, network or service quality. The minimum requirements are a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and 1 year of software development experience in a language such as Python, C, C++, Java or JavaScript. A master's or PhD in computer science and experience building accessible technology are preferred. Interviews are usually held in person.
