ABB is hiring a Data Science & AI Specialist in Bengaluru for the Process Automation Digital team. You will design and build digital solutions that monitor and diagnose industrial machinery and processes, creating statistical and predictive models for failure detection and equipment life estimation. The work includes data cleansing, feature engineering, testing alternative models, building working prototypes and proofs of concept for customer demos, and working with business units to shape solutions around customer needs. Candidates should have a PhD, M.Tech or MS in statistics, physics or an engineering branch, and 2 to 5 years of data science experience on industrial analytics problems. Strong Python is preferred, with R, MATLAB or C/C++ also useful. PyTorch or TensorFlow experience is preferred, and familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and MLflow is a plus.
