Qualys is hiring a Java Software Engineer in Pune to build and maintain features for its cloud security products. You will design, develop, deploy and debug applications in a fast-moving team, and keep learning the product domain and its technologies. Candidates need a bachelor's or master's degree, preferably in computer science, and 2 to 3 years of Java development experience with strong Java, Spring Boot and object-oriented design skills. Knowledge of relational databases is required, and Cassandra experience is a plus. You should understand microservices, Kubernetes, Kafka and Elasticsearch. Familiarity with AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, and with generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering or frameworks like OpenAI, Azure OpenAI or LangChain, is also valued. Good problem-solving and communication skills are expected.
