AWS is hiring a Telecom Operations Engineer in Hyderabad for the Amazon Connect telecom engineering team. The team provisions and maintains connectivity to telecom carriers around the world, runs the backend telephony infrastructure, and owns the Session Border Controller (SBC) service that routes calls between Amazon Connect and carriers. You will support and expand this SIP/VoIP infrastructure into new regions, troubleshoot customer telephony issues and help improve the platform, which handles thousands of concurrent calls. Basic requirements are 2+ years of Linux systems administration or development and 1+ year of work in at least two of Python, Java, Perl, PHP, Ruby or Bash/Shell. Experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, DevOps or similar roles, and SIP/VoIP knowledge, are preferred.
