Caterpillar's Technology, Digital and Data team is looking for an Autonomy Test Engineer in Bengaluru or Chennai. In this role you will support the design, development and testing of robotics software, working closely with senior engineers. Responsibilities include gathering data on customer experience with robotic platforms and preparing reports, documenting architecture specs, software design, verification plans, test cases and safety procedures, using tools to debug, test and maintain robotic hardware and software, and helping build application software and algorithms for robotic platforms.
Key skills: software testing (functional, volume and load), the software development life cycle, at least one programming language, technical troubleshooting of hardware and software, and a basic understanding of AI concepts.
