YAL builds AI agents and conversational systems that help organisations automate everyday work, and is hiring a Junior AI Engineer for its Hyderabad office. Working alongside senior engineers, you will build agents that understand requests, retrieve information and use tools; create text and voice conversation flows with context handling and human handoff; connect agents to APIs, databases and customer systems; refine prompts, retrieval pipelines and structured outputs; support speech-to-text and text-to-speech integrations; and review conversation logs to improve reliability, speed and cost.
What you need: good Python, familiarity with REST APIs, Git, databases and basic backend development, practical experience building with LLMs through projects, internships or work, and a basic understanding of prompting, RAG and tool calling. Experience with agent frameworks, conversational or speech AI, Docker or cloud deployment is a plus.
Experience: 0 to 4 years. This is a full-time role.
