Emerson's Noida team is looking for a Simulation Engineer to model, test and tune power plant systems for simulator projects. You will prepare data collection lists and functional design specifications, review marked-up P&IDs, test models on their own and then integrate the sub-systems, and support pre-FAT and factory acceptance tests in India or abroad. Work happens in a team of 4-5 engineers alongside Emerson's global modelling team, following department quality checklists and project budgets and schedules. You will also learn the Ovation control system, including protections, interlocks and permissives. Candidates need a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical or power plant engineering with 1-3 years of experience in coal or combined cycle power plant operation or modelling, a good grasp of thermodynamics, strong computer skills and good written and spoken English. The job is hybrid and involves around 30-40% travel, including overseas.
