Morningstar is hiring an Analyst in Mumbai to support research on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS). You will gather data and handle preliminary tasks for CMBS property analysis, retrieve and analyse pool-level and property-level performance, identify risky assets using qualitative and quantitative factors, and assess exposure to market, property type, tenant and borrower risk across CMBS pools and loan portfolios. You will also monitor CMBS transactions, write executive summaries, look at possible default or loss scenarios for the underlying real estate loans, and coordinate with other analysts and third parties to collect data. Requirements: 1-3 years of credit research experience with working knowledge of CMBS; credit ratings experience and a master's degree, CFA or FRM are preferred. Hybrid, usually four days a week in the office.
