Amazon is hiring a Data Engineer I in Bengaluru for the Data Insights, Metrics & Reporting team, the central data engineering group in Amazon Warehousing & Distribution. You will work with software engineers and business teams to understand data needs, design ingestion flows, and model structured, semi-structured and unstructured datasets. The work covers ETL from many sources (real-time event streams, data lakes, file uploads), efficient distributed storage and querying, documentation, and unit and integration test automation. The team also builds data marts that power GenAI tools. Requirements: 1+ year of data engineering experience, data modelling and warehousing, ETL pipelines, a query language such as SQL or SparkSQL, and a scripting language like Python. Hadoop, Hive, Spark, EMR or tools like Informatica or SSIS are a plus.
