Marriott International is hiring a Commis for the bakery section of a hotel kitchen in Kolkata.
You will prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food; wash and peel fresh fruit and vegetables; weigh, measure and mix ingredients; and prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards and the food preparation checklist, while keeping your station clean and organised. In the bakery you will support the pastry team with daily production. This is an entry-level role suited to bakery or culinary graduates or cooks with up to about 1 year of experience.
You will follow company safety and security policies, keep a clean and professional appearance, look after guests' needs and work well with the wider hotel team. Hotel roles involve shift work, including weekends and holidays.
