Amazon is hiring an Applied Scientist in Bengaluru for a team that keeps abusive, fraudulent and harmful content out of the Books catalogue and programmes such as Kindle Unlimited, using text, image and behavioural data. You will monitor production risk models for performance and drift, improve how performance is measured, design, train and evaluate better detection models and take them to production with engineering partners. You will also build datasets, labels, evaluation sets and metrics as abuse patterns change, and write clear readouts with recommendations. Candidates need 3 or more years of experience building models for business applications, plus a PhD, or a master's degree with experience, in CS, CE, ML or a related field.
