Deloitte is hiring a Consultant in Bengaluru to work as a Kafka Migration Engineer on a high-visibility project moving on-premise Apache Kafka to AWS MSK. You will assess existing clusters (topics, partitions, consumer groups, throughput, retention and service dependencies), plan capacity, configure the target platform, run and validate migrations, tune performance, automate steps and help retire legacy clusters.
You will work closely with application, infrastructure and platform teams to carry out migrations safely and at scale.
What you need: a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field, 3 to 5 years of hands-on engineering experience, and strong skills in distributed messaging. The tech stack listed includes Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Kafka, microservices, Spring Data JPA and Oracle.
