American Express is hiring an AI Engineer II in Gurugram (hybrid) to build AI into its core sales and customer platforms. You will develop GenAI-powered solutions using prompts, AI agents, copilots and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines that improve operational productivity, and contribute to enterprise AI platforms, reusable frameworks and engineering best practices. A big part of the role is making sure AI solutions are reliable, secure and follow responsible AI and governance standards at enterprise scale. Requirements: 2–5 years of software engineering or applied AI/ML experience, including hands-on work with LLMs and GenAI tooling, strong Python and API development skills, and an understanding of testing and evaluating AI systems.
