Guidehouse is hiring medical coders for facility inpatient (IP DRG) coding in Chennai. Graduates with at least 1 year of IP DRG coding experience can apply, and a coding certification such as CIC, CCS or CPC is mandatory. You will review patient records and assign codes using ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS, assign MS-DRG and APR-DRG groupings, and make sure coding meets regulatory and reimbursement standards. You will work with clinical staff when clarification is needed, use EHR systems and coding software, and meet deadlines while working independently. Strong attention to detail, communication and analytical skills are required.
