Harman's Automotive Software Engineering team in Bengaluru is hiring a test engineer to validate next-generation in-vehicle infotainment systems. You will design and run test cases, build and maintain Python-based test automation frameworks, and carry out functional, integration, regression, system and end-to-end testing on real hardware and simulators. Features under test include media, connectivity, navigation, HMI, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The role also covers writing test plans from requirements, debugging and root-cause analysis with developers, tracking defects, and producing test reports, quality metrics and release sign-off documents within Agile sprints. Candidates need 3 to 6 years of automotive infotainment testing experience, strong Python scripting skills, a good grasp of test automation methods, and familiarity with vehicle protocols such as CAN, LIN or Ethernet.
