HPE's Datacenter Networking team is hiring an entry-level software engineer to work on cloud-native products and distributed systems. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, you will design, build, troubleshoot and debug software for new features and product enhancements, touching areas such as networking, utilities, databases and internet tooling, and learning how hardware and software interact. The team leans on large-scale automation, including AI agents and coding co-pilots, to solve problems.
Who can apply: B.Tech or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field with 0-2 years of hands-on coding experience (internships, co-ops and academic projects count) in Python, Go, Java, C or C++. You should understand the basics of distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native development and Infrastructure as Code, and have some exposure to KVM, OpenStack, Kubernetes or VMware. Familiarity with tools like Cassandra, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, Docker, Prometheus or Grafana is a plus.
The role is onsite at HPE's Bengaluru office.
