Hitachi Energy's India Development Centre in Chennai is hiring an R&D Simulation Model Engineer. You will build base models and components in PSCAD, PSS/E, DIgSILENT PowerFactory and EMTP-RV for power-electronics applications such as STATCOMs, and develop customer-specific models. You will keep models scalable and in step with control platform changes, write technical reports, troubleshoot and trace faults, help customers adapt models to their networks, benchmark models across tools and adapt them to grid codes. You will work with power quality, power conversion, application engineering and product management teams.
Requirements: an ME in power systems or power electronics with 0 to 3+ years of experience in modelling power-electronics-based systems. This is an on-site role.
