Hitachi Energy is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer for its Transformers business at the Global Engineering Center in Vadodara (Maneja). You will join an international team designing oil-type power transformers up to 345 kV for customers in several countries. You will handle internal and external transformer design, including cleats and leads, core, active part, windings, tank and externals, within factory limits and IEEE/IEC/IS standards. You will prepare customer documents, manufacturing drawings and bills of materials on schedule and coordinate design work with factories worldwide.
Requirements: a mechanical engineering background with 0 to 8 years of experience, and an understanding of transformer mechanical design, thermal, dielectric, short-circuit and sound performance. This is an on-site role.
