Amazon Fulfillment Technologies is hiring an SDE II in Bengaluru for its manual sortation (Mansort) software. The team owns sort plan generation, chute and destination assignment and the scan-and-sort workflows that warehouse associates use on fulfillment center floors across hundreds of buildings worldwide. The systems must stay highly available through network disruptions and upstream failures, and every sort decision must be correct so packages make their transport cutoffs. You will design, build and operate these backend services with a focus on reliability, performance and correctness. Requirements: 3+ years of professional software development experience, about 2 years of designing or architecting systems for reliability and scale, and strong programming skills in at least one language.
