DigitalOcean is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Network Automation team in Bengaluru. You will join the network engineering group within infrastructure and build software that automates and maintains DigitalOcean's network, from the Internet edge down to the hypervisors.
Day-to-day work includes designing, building and maintaining automation and tooling used to manage networks across all DigitalOcean sites, working with network infrastructure engineers on the automation and monitoring platform, reviewing code to keep quality high, and using AI coding tools to prototype and ship solutions quickly.
Requirements: B.Tech/B.E./B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent; knowledge of basic networking concepts and either prior experience or a strong interest in data-centre network automation; working ability in Go or Python; familiarity with Linux, CI/CD, containers or virtualization, web servers and databases, and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or ELK. Exposure to network vendors such as Juniper or Arista is a plus. Hybrid role based in Bengaluru.
