Ericsson is hiring a Packet Core Engineer in Pune to plan and carry out upgrades of 4G/5G packet core nodes such as SGSN-MME, AMF, SMF, UPF, CCPC, SAPC, WMG and EPG. You will run pre-checks, health checks and post-upgrade validation, install software and patches, migrate traffic, and keep services running during maintenance windows and cutovers. The role also covers troubleshooting integration issues, rollback planning, maintaining Methods of Procedure and documentation, and automating repetitive tasks with Python or shell scripts, while meeting customer SLAs. You should know 4G EPC and 5G Core architecture well, with hands-on MME, SGW, PGW, AMF, SMF, UPF and PCF and Linux/Unix skills. Experience asked is 3 to 11 years.
