Kotak Mahindra Bank is hiring SDE1 backend engineers for Kotak 811, its digital banking unit, in Karnataka (several openings). You will build microservices and APIs with Node.js, Java Spring Boot or Python, work with middleware such as RabbitMQ, and apply design patterns to backend problems. The role needs strong analytical and debugging skills, performance analysis, and hands-on work with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL stores (MongoDB, DynamoDB). You will configure and deploy services behind API gateways such as AWS native gateways or Kong, covering discoverability, security and throttling, and practise unit and feature testing, TDD and load testing. Relevant experience asked is 2 to 4 years.
