Cisco's Silicon One Software team in Bengaluru is hiring a Software Engineer to build and support the software stack behind its Silicon One network processors. You will work directly with customers to understand their requirements, help them adopt Silicon One, troubleshoot issues and build custom applications, while designing control-plane and data-plane features for the NPU together with lead engineers. Development uses modern C++, Python and the Silicon One network processing language. Eligibility: BS in EE/CS with 0-1 year of related experience, or an MS in EE/CS. You should have hands-on C++ or Python, knowledge of networking protocols such as L2/L3, MPLS, BGP and OSPF, debugging skills with tools like GDB or PDB, and a solid grasp of data structures and algorithms. Exposure to cloud, data-center or edge networking, SAI or SONiC is a plus. The role follows a hybrid work model.
