Virtusa is hiring an Associate-level Software Testing Engineer for its Hyderabad campus, focused mainly on API quality. You will design and run test cases for RESTful services using REST Assured, work with developers to understand how features behave, and carry out functional, regression and performance testing. Day-to-day work includes logging defects with clear steps, documenting test results, joining code reviews to comment on testability, and helping the team improve its testing process over time.
Key skills: solid working knowledge of REST Assured for API testing, a basic grasp of software testing methodologies and the test life cycle, and good attention to detail. Some Java familiarity will help since REST Assured is Java-based.
Eligibility: freshers and candidates with up to 2 years of experience (0–2 years). A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field is expected. Recent batches (roughly 2022–2026) can apply.
