Target in India is hiring a backend engineer with a generative AI focus at its Manyata Embassy Business Park office in Bengaluru. You will design and build scalable backend applications and services, develop microservices, and work on AI-driven automation workflows that integrate large language models and agentic AI into Target's systems.
Requirements: 2 to 4 years of software design and development experience focused on scalable backends; hands-on Java and Python (Kotlin and other JVM technologies are a plus); experience building and maintaining microservices; and practical exposure to LLM integration, agentic AI and AI-driven automation.
