Microsoft is hiring an Applied Scientist II in Hyderabad to work on machine learning for search. You will design and run experiments, define and validate metrics, and build ML pipelines and models such as encoder-decoder and cross-encoder models. You will also use language models to understand user intent and help develop a semantic search stack tuned for different search intents, while keeping up with current research. Publishing is encouraged but not required.
Requirements: a bachelor's degree in statistics, econometrics, computer science, electrical/computer engineering or a related field with 2+ years of related experience (statistics, predictive analytics, research), or a master's degree with less experience as stated in the posting.
