Eaton is hiring an Engineer - DMP in Hadapsar, Pune to drive cost optimisation and continuous improvement projects for fabrication, sheet-steel and stamping commodities. You will work with global procurement, product engineering, manufacturing plants and suppliers to find and implement savings that are technically and commercially sound. Key work includes commodity spend and part-cost analysis, value analysis/value engineering, design and material optimisation, process improvement, resourcing, negotiation support, supplier consolidation and part rationalisation. You need a hands-on understanding of sheet-metal materials, stamping and fabrication processes, tooling and cost drivers. Requirements: 3 to 5 years of experience in a multinational engineering organisation, preferably in the electrical industry.
