HARMAN Automotive is hiring an Associate Engineer for its Intelligent Cockpit Architecture team in Bengaluru. You will work as an individual contributor on embedded software for in-vehicle infotainment, digital cluster and ADAS systems, reporting to a senior program architect and working alongside development, integration and testing teams. The work includes building quick proof-of-concept software in C/C++ on Linux and Android Automotive OS, studying new SoC architectures on vendor development boards, using AI tools to review and improve existing embedded code for reuse and efficiency, and documenting findings for other teams. You should have solid fundamentals in microprocessor/microcontroller systems, computer architecture and electronics, a good grasp of operating system concepts (Linux/Unix or RTOS), and programming skills in C/C++ and Java. Python, shell scripting and AI/ML/LLM knowledge are a plus. This is a permanent, entry-level (career level T2) role on a hybrid schedule; occasional early or late calls with Europe and US teams and some travel may be required.
