Nokia is offering a research internship on energy-efficient compute for AI-driven wireless communication systems. You will explore neuromorphic computing approaches for wireless workloads, build experimental prototypes, models and benchmarks in Python and C, and look at accelerator ideas such as RISC-V based acceleration, custom instruction extensions and hardware/software co-design. You may also contribute to Verilog implementation or architecture-level design and simulation, and compare conventional AI compute with low-power, event-driven or approximate techniques. Candidates must be enrolled in a PhD or MS (Research) programme during the internship, with a strong background in computer architecture, VLSI/digital design, AI/ML, wireless communications, signal processing or embedded systems.
