Google is hiring university graduates as Silicon Engineers in its Platforms and Devices organisation in Bengaluru. The Consumer Hardware Silicon team builds custom chips for Google-branded devices across imaging, machine learning, video and security. In this early-career role you will help design, develop and prototype new silicon and hardware concepts, analyse engineering problems with a multi-disciplinary team, and work with vendors to take parts through to manufacturing. Minimum requirements: a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience) and knowledge of design concepts and computer hardware architecture. Preferred: internships or personal projects in hardware or electrical engineering, experience in SoC/ASIC design, design verification, physical design or DFT, and Verilog/HDL or SystemVerilog coding. The hiring process usually involves in-person interviews.
